The 2011 Leydens Vale Reserve Shiraz shows a rich brick red colour with startling clarity. On the aroma- classic cool climate notes of pepper, spice, maraschino cherry and blueberry, with a depth and complexity of flavours. The palate displays typical Shiraz breadth of flavour, with medium body weight supported by fullness of flavour, with pepper, spice, berry sweetness, supported by soft vanillin oak hints, providing further palate weight. Drinking superbly now, this wine will also reward short to medium term cellaring.
