The 1996 Blue Pyrenees Estate Red is an excellent example of all the Estate "assemblage" philosophy. Selective harvesting of the best parcels of fruit enabled the production of more than 50 different wines, each with distinctive characters, which contribute to the final blend.

Ripe berries, light spice, cedar and briar are evident on the nose, and there are also hints of the eucalypt mint Pyrenees regional character. |
| Flavour: |
The palate is dominated by the mouth-filling flavours of ripe fruits, and shows plenty of acidity, elegant oak and a fine tannin structure. The finish is long and has a balanced grip. |
