In 1992, the team at Blue Pyrenees decided to experiment with hand picking fruit in the middle of the night, under floodlights, to optimize both fruit condition and temperature. The results were amazing – crisp and clean cuvee juices of outstanding quality. The Midnight Cuvee was born! Nowadays the Blue Pyrenees team select the best fruit parcels, whilst on the vine, to be separated out from the rest and picked at night by hand to generate the juices that will become the Midnight Cuvee. Although very laborious and time consuming, the rewards are evident in the glass. The Blue Pyrenees Estate Midnight Cuvee is made entirely from estate grown fruit – predominantly Chardonnay with a touch of Pinot Noir.
