2009 Blue Pyrenees Sauvignon Blanc
The cool climate Pyrenees district of Victoria can produce distinctive wines with this variety and the 2009 Blue Pyrenees Sauvignon Blanc is no exception. Tropical fruit and lemongrass make way for creaminess and a strong minerality which persists throughout this wine until the crisp finish.
|
 |
2009 Blue Pyrenees Chardonnay
French Oak matured. Both traditional and contemporary techniques were used to craft this elegant wine, which has added both complexity and richness. The result is a medium-bodied crisp dry white wine with the classic flavour profile sought in great chardonnays.

2010 Blue Pyrenees Rose
Small portions of the red grape varieties Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Pinot Meunier were identified on our Estate vineyard as suiting rose production. These grapes were pressed soon after harvesting to minimise colour and phenolic extraction. These techniques have created an ideal luncheon wine that should be served chilled.

drinking however some cellaring time will also reward those who are patient.

2009 Blue Pyrenees Viognier
Blue Pyrenees planted small experimental plots of this variety in the 1990's and excited by the results, has undertaken further significant investment in Viognier allowing this first commercial release white wine to be born. Hand picked grapes were cooled overnight then pressed the next morning, with the free run juice going directly to old white oak barrels for natural fermentation and 6 months ageing with fortnightly yeast stirring.
